Scrum Master

iBOOD is looking for its first full-time Scrum Master. We began using Scrum in 2014, initially as something the developers did in isolation. Over the years, we have made lots of improvements to our own processes, and we’ve learned a lot more about why Scrum helps; but to take things to the next level, we feel we need to focus more on delivering value for customers and stakeholders, and using their feedback to keep getting better.

The role

We feel we can keep this section short because the role is defined so well by the Scrum Guide.

Additionally, you will be a servant leader who is able to introduce helpful practices on top of Scrum, who helps boost transparency, and coaches the teams and the whole company to become more agile.

You will serve in both of our Scrum Teams, each of which has its own product, developers and Product Owner. The ‘frontend’ product is our website and internal CMS; the ‘backend’ product consists of our ERP system and internal service bus.

Your profile

You are always honest, and you understand that empirical improvement relies on transparency and integrity.

You have at least 3 years experience in an Agile/Scrum environment; ideally as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.

You live the Scrum Values, and serve as a role model to those around you. You like to experiment. The words “Inspect & Adapt” mean a lot to you. You take an interest in improving yourself; perhaps by reading, attending conferences, contributing to online forums, or organizing meetups.

You are proficient in the English language. Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage, but not essential.

You are a skilled communicator with an entrepreneurial spirit and an independent personality. You are able to work proactively in a project- and process-oriented manner.

These are the kind of things that we would look for on your CV:

  • PSM I, CSM, or other recognized qualifications
  • Experience in a software environment, preferably where performance, scalability, availability and usability are of utmost importance
  • Experience of an agile transformation
  • Knowledge of other Agile techniques, frameworks or methods

You will fit in well at iBOOD if you enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-growing organization with motivated and smart colleagues. You are someone who thinks ahead, likes to find creative solutions, and does not follow a fixed pattern. You can handle pressure and find it rewarding to make the impossible possible. In short; flexible, inventive and a go-getter!

Note: This vacancy is for a position in Amsterdam. We're open to international applicants but we'll want to talk to you face to face, at least once in our Amsterdam office, before making an offer.
